……….. one of the most famous robberies in British Criminal History took place in April 2015. The story grew in infamy mainly down to the age of the guys that pulled off a Heist that had a worth that ran £14million. With the arrests came more tantalising information, like the ages of the offenders and a tie to the Brinks Mat robbery in 1983 and the fact there was literally one that got away!
This documentary commissioned by the BBC and made by the producers of “Crimewatch” breaks down what happened over that Easter Bank Holiday weekend and the actions of the Flying Squad to catch up with the team of elderly thieves.
